Villa d’Este Unesco World Heritage

The reason why Villa d’Este has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage:

Villa d’Este is one of the best examples of Renaissance culture.
His innovative project and its architectural elements make it a unique example of the Italian garden of the sixteenth century. In addition, it has influenced the development and design of gardens throughout Europe.

Meaning of Unesco

UNESCO is an acronym and stands for United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizations.
Purpose: The organization aims to protect the existing cultural heritage, promote culture, education and science.
In Italy, there are 53 sites included in the UNESCO List of World Heritage and it holds the record of the World Heritage list.
Tivoli has 2 UNESCO sites: Villa d’Este and Hadrian’s Villa.
