The Sanctuary of Fortuna Primigenia is one of the symbolic places of Palestrina, worth to be seen during a guided tour. Also identified with the name of temple, it is dedicated to Fortuna, the woman who in mythology was the mother of Jupiter and Juno.
The temple or sanctuary was built from the 2nd century BC and even today it represents one of the major testimonies of architecture belonging to the Republican age. About the architectural point of view it presents a mixture of Hellenistic style and Roman art.
