Tourist Guide Centre welcomes school visits all year around. Our service includes dedicated visits in Villa d’Este Gardens, Hadrian’s Villa and Villa Gregoriana with specifically dedicated itineraries. In specific for Villa d’Este and Hadrians Villa our tours are structured with different formulas:

1) STANDARD VISITS:

The visit will be preceded by an introduction firstly, to give students space and time orientation on the site, secondly to offer the tools necessary for a full understanding of the historical-artistic asset to be visited.

Visits last 2 hours for a maximum of 25 children.

2) THEMATIC ITINERARIES:

Your day at Villa d’Este Gardens can include educational workshops and half-day interactive tour itinerary. Our visits, through play activities, allow students to develop their ability to observe.

3) GAME VISITS:

Play and learn” is an original and a constitutive formula that gives students the opportunity to learn and metabolize the concepts expressed during the guided tour thanks to the help of play cards.
We will provide a comic book card for each student, with specific historical and cultural aspects and topics. By teamwork, students will prove the notions they learned during the visit.

4) THEME WORKSHOPS:

Themed workshops cover a range of topics such as classical mythology, art, history, Roman and medieval archaeology, roman and medieval legends and much more.

5) TREASURE HUNT:

The treasure hunt is a visit structured by solving riddles as required by a real treasure hunt. It will stimulate the students in metabolize what they learned during the guided tour.
The hunt will take place on the site visited, in search of clues obtained from the resolution of questions and culminating in the discovery of an unexpected treasure. Teamwork will be providential.

6) COMIC EDUCATIONAL PATH:

The visit is based on the use of comics. In this way children attention will be more lively. Comics will be used to present art and history topics and life facts of the historical protagonists such as Ippolito d’Este and Lucrezia Borgia or Hadrian’s Emperor.

7) STORYTELLING EDUCATIONAL PATH:

The visit is based on the storytelling throughout fable and short stories about the real facts of the protagonists of the Villas: Ippolito d’Este and Lucrezia Borgia or Hadrian’s Emperor. This will help students in stimulating their imagination and curiosity.

8) THE ANCIENT BOOK MUSEUM

The museum is sited inside the Villa d’Este. Here students can learn topics about ancient books thanks to a very provided exposition and have a practical workshop about how to make papyrus.

9) TIVOLI TEMPLES TOUR:

The Sibyl and Vesta Temples are two classical archaeological sites into the historical center of Tivoli.
We can provide a path tour throughout the historical center in order to discover the hidden treasures of Tivoli.

10) COMBO VISITS:

In a day is possible to visit two of the three Villas of Tivoli or a Villa and another archaeological site near Tivoli. It is possible to personalize your trip choosing between different tours. Combos can be chosen as follow:
